Aranjuez Film Festival
Creating a brand image coherent with the festival’s values.

Aranjuez, known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes, has also had a close relationship with cinema — not only through the many national and international shoots held there, but through the milestones that have marked that connection.
As a result, the town decided to relaunch the national short-film festival that had run in Aranjuez in the nineties.
To do so, the festival needed a new brand image to introduce it to the world.
Cinema and history in a single common element
Every great festival needs a great brand behind it. To build it, we drew on Aranjuez's most representative elements — water and its classical architecture — and combined them with elements associated with cinema.
The idea in execution
We brought together two of Aranjuez's most representative elements — the river water and the Chinese pond — in the icon, reinforced with a frame reminiscent of film footage. For the wordmark we used a classic cinema typeface.
Visual universe
Alongside the logo, we developed a set of visual elements built from the same references explored in the concept phase: water, the river, classic objects like old film cameras, and more.
Brand rollout
Once the brand was complete, we designed all the physical visual materials for the festival: posters, banners, brochures and more.
